 The Agency may find a person disabled, stating his group of disability, the causes of disability and period of limitation. According to the legislation of the Republic of Armenia it is possible to lengthen the period of temporary.
The Agency may define the necessary means of social security.
The Agency may define the conditions of labor of the disabled person, and may give recommendations for the disabled person for appropriate labor.
The Agency defines the loss level of professional workability of a person (by percent), connected with abnormality of efficiency professional disease or other health problems, as well as defines the percent of general workability loss in case of inquiry of interested bodies.
The Agency may define the causes of disability because of industrial accidents, professional diseases, military accidents etc.
The Agency may define the personal rehabilitation plan of a disabled person, defining the types and the volume of medical, social-psychological and professional rehabilitation means, aiding to its fulfillment and evaluating its efficiency.
The Agency may participate in the creation of the database of disabled people in Armenia and may aid to the creation of the state system of disabled people.
The Agency may research and analyze the state, the progress and the causes of disability and may participate in the creation of the programs preventing disability.
The Agency offers advisory services and gives conclusions to health related organization to regional centers of occupied and social services for disabled person on issues concerning rehabilitation, professional orientation, necessity of being able or unable to any work, as well as education, requalification and surviving at home.
According to the legislation of RA the Agency informs appropriate military commissariat about the disabled person who are at the military age.
The Agency may provide medical advice to people who are undergoing a medical and social examination.
The Agency may send people undergoing a medical and social examination for additional medical examination.
In case of a necessity the Agency may request from health related organizations and employers (despite of the legislative type of the
organization) additional documents regarding to the type and the conditions of the labor of the person undergoing a medical examination, as well as studying the type and the conditions of the labor.
The Agency may monitor the rehabilitation, the conditions and types of labor of the disabled people, as well as the employment of the latter according to the recommendations given by the Agency.
The Agency may give a conclusion on the necessity of providing rehabilitation aids to a disabled person.
